Benefit gig at the Ladywell Tavern to raise funds for community planting

LVIG has organised a benefit gig to raise funds for more community planting in Ladywell. Come and join us for great music and dancing at the Ladywell Tavern on Saturday 30th May from 8pm, and help sow the seeds of recovery in the neighbourhood!

For your entertainment and enjoyment, live music is provided courtesy of local band (including an LVIG member!) The Grey Cats with Jason James in support. So, get up and put on your dancing shoes!

All monies raised will be used to fund plants and materials, bringing much needed colour to Ladywell Village and improve the environment in which we live and work.

Hope to see you there!

I hope we'll see some LVIG members at the Ladywell Tavern on Thursday, for the Brockley Central music night, as part of this year's MAX? http://tinyurl.com/msxjxf

The benefit gig was a huge success and the Ladywell Tavern was packed with people. No doubt this was partly due to the extra publicity through Brockley Max, which was fantastic.
It's great that the communities of Brockley and Ladywell can be linked in this way as mutual support makes us both stronger.
A big thank you to all who came and enjoyed the gig - and especially to Tony of the Grey Cats, who is also on the committee of LVIG. The bands put on a great performance that had plenty of people on the dancefloor.
BTW - funds were raised as a portion of bar-takings - the exact amount is still to be revealed, but every little helps in our aim of making Ladywell a better environment in which to live and work.
